NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that on

Wednesday May 21, 2025 at 7:03 pm (UT)

at Big Water Town Hall located at

60 N Aaron Burr, Big Water, Utah,

will hold a public hearing for:

–  Resort Community Sales and Use Tax pursuant to Utah Code §59-12-401. This tax applies to all applicable sales of goods and services within the municipality.

Effective Date: October 1, 2025
Tax Rate: 1.1%
Applies To: Retail sales, lodging, restaurant meals, and other taxable transactions as defined by Utah State Tax Code.

This tax is intended to support infrastructure and services impacted by tourism and to improve the overall quality of life for residents and visitors.

 

At the time and place set forth above, all interested persons may appear will be given an opportunity to be heard either in support or in opposition.  Each person will be limited to a reasonable amount of time to comment.
