The Town of Big Water invites all community members to participate in a public meeting to discuss the newly imposed 1.1% Resort Community Tax. Your input and feedback are valuable as we aim to address questions, concerns, and suggestions regarding the implementation and impact of this tax on our local economy and community. Additionally, the Town Council will be considering the possibility of repealing this tax based on community feedback and further discussion.

The 1.1% Resort Community Tax is designed to fund essential services and infrastructure improvements in areas impacted by tourism, enhancing the overall experience for both residents and visitors. However, we understand there may be concerns about its economic impact, and we welcome input from business owners, residents, and other stakeholders on whether this tax should remain in place or be repealed.
